Preparations: A year's work
After the 2024 camp ended, we started off September by evaluating the summer. Our goal was to learn from our experiences and decide how we could do even more for the children. We ended 2024 excited and full of ideas and began planning for the 2025 camp. The camp team agreed that the theme for the following camp season would be "Time Travel," which provided a fantastic opportunity for creative programs.
Scholarships and discounts: The Power of Community
Interest in discounts was extremely high throughout the registration period. We were especially happy that, through God's providence, we were able to fulfill most of these requests. Of the 778 campers, 513 took advantage of various discounts or scholarships. The total value of our grants in 2025 was a little over USD $44,000.
These grants not only provided financial assistance but also demonstrated the power of our community. We are especially grateful to our supporters who not only contributed financially but also participated personally in the camp, giving their time and energy to help wherever needed and sharing their testimonies with campers and volunteers.

Preparation: Our Volunteers
Our summer camp would not have been possible without our fantastic volunteers! We held two large-scale training sessions for them, one in April and one in early June, with a total of 120 participants. Most of the young people came to us from various churches, and during the camp we tried to help them grow in their faith. During the summer, a total of 166 young people joined the ministry during the camp weeks, and in addition to them, another 30 adult volunteers helped with the work as Bible teachers or first aid providers.
Our Camp Weeks: Memorable Moments
This year, a total of 778 children participated in the camp. Approximately 40% of the campers do not come from a church background, and many heard the Good News for the first time here. During the summer camp, we held evangelistic meetings every week, where we shared the pure Gospel in language appropriate for each age group. Many responded positively to God's Word, and to the glory of the Lord. 67 children/young people gave their lives to Christ, and many others committed themselves to Him, taking at least one step closer to Christ.

We tried to reach even more young people with newly introduced activities such as athletic games and drawing and painting. Although volleyball and arts and crafts remained among our most popular activities, many also signed up for soccer, English, drama, and basketball.
As a special program, one of our former campers, who now serves as a pastor, visited us and delighted the camp with a spectacular basketball show.
"I am 8 years old, and I came from Békés County for the first time. I signed up for soccer training because I play a lot of soccer at home. On Sundays, we go to church, where my whole family serves in worship; I am learning to play the piano so that I can join them. Last year, I got saved at worship training. This week, I received the message, "Do not be afraid, for I am with you," which means a lot to me, as it is written on the wall of my brother's room. Since I was converted, I feel that I am striving to be better."

"I came from Cluj-Napoca, Romania, with my parents, and I go to church regularly. I hear a lot about Christ at home, and I really enjoyed the devotions here at camp. During Bible hour, I learned more about the story of Joseph. This week, I made a decision to follow Jesus because I understood that He died for me and that I will have eternal life. When I entered the room on the first day, I had a very strange feeling, as if I had been reborn. I would like to see many changes in my life at home with my siblings and family. Of all the activities, I liked the athletic games the most."
– Teo, 9 years
"I live in Érd and attend the church there. At home, my parents and I watch Bible stories on a YouTube channel, and then we discuss what we have heard together. During Bible class this week, I really liked the playful teaching method they used with the stars. I decided that I would like to read the Bible more regularly. I liked the worship the most at camp, and I definitely want to come back next year."
– Noe, 10 years

"I attend the Baptist church in Tata, and at home we have an evening program where we pray together as a family. This week at camp, I realized that God always loves me, and my roommate Petra's conversations helped me a lot with that. I plan to start reading the Bible regularly. I am grateful that the atmosphere and community here are always great. My sister will also be attending Bible school this year, so I will definitely visit her several times during the year."
Kamilla, 13 years
"I came from Székesfehérvár, and I don't go to church very often. At home, I usually hear about God and His miracles from my godmother. This week, the testimonies on Tuesday touched me the most. Last year, I made the decision that I want to belong to God's family. I don't want to stray from God, and I don't want to use bad language. During the year, I don't feel so close to God, but reading the Bible helps me to maintain that closeness; my roommate suggested this to me. I liked the quiet moments and the free time best at camp."
– Bori, 13 years

"I came to the camp from Esztergom for the fifth time this year. I attend church in Tata, and although my family is Christian, I tend to talk about God more in church. This week, I signed up for sports, which taught me humility, and I accepted Christ on the bench there. The worship, especially when the Americans were worshipping, touched me the most. Since my conversion, I feel that God is guiding me at conferences and during my regular Bible reading."
– Naomi, 16 years
"I am from Miskolc, and I am a member and servant of the Brethren Church. I also serve in youth and children's camps. I have been going to church since I was little, so I have always heard about God, but this week I was very touched by Tuesday's play, which showed how different sins affect people's lives. I came to the camp this week to serve the children, and I am grateful for the testimonies of the people around me. I accepted Christ as my Savior at the age of 11 after an argument with my mother, when she asked me if I would go with her if Jesus returned. That's when I was converted, but in high school, it was difficult to keep my faith among my friends. I felt this turmoil for a year and a half, but at the age of 18, I let go of my unanswered questions, and doubt was replaced by faith; I returned to God. I am grateful for this camp because here the children can be themselves, loud and funny."

Testimonies
Plans and prayer requests
Looking ahead to the 2026 camp season, we already have American volunteer teams who are interested in participating and helping us at next year's camp. However, we need additional people who can help with English, crafts, drama, volleyball, and basketball activities.
On September 1, we hired a camp intern, Katia Piraneque, who will be responsible for camp marketing, ensuring that camp news is spread as widely as possible and with the most appealing posts on social media. However, she needs a computer that can handle the tasks (video editing, Photoshop) for her work.
We continue to trust in God's providence and count on your financial support for the camp scholarship fund, which this year helped 513 campers participate at a discounted rate so that they too could hear the Gospel.

Thanks and Conclusion
We are grateful to all those who contributed to this unforgettable summer with their support, time and love. Without you, this camp would not have been possible.
We ask God's blessing upon you and hope to see you again next year!
